At FUEL we have compiled a dream team of passionate health and fitness professionals. This world class team is ready to help you reach any goals you may have.

Heather Gillespie Owner/Coach Heather has been CrossFitting for nearly a decade and specializes in running our group classes while building the daily programming. She is passionate about movement in general. “I like to help people learn how the body can move and how they can apply that in everyday life both to get more fit and have fun,” she says. “The best thing about coaching anyone is seeing them grow more confident in themselves through movement. To have the members embrace their body and appreciate what it can do is very rewarding.” As a child, Heather dabbled in a lot of individual sports, including recreational gymnastics. In university, she did track and field (mainly pole vaulting). “Up until two years ago, I focused on competitive CrossFit,” she says. “I went to the Games as an individual in 2012 (second in Can West) and 2013 (first in Can West), and I now enjoy CrossFit as a way to stay healthy and fit without the competitive training.” Her favorite quote: “Be. Here. Now.” – Ram Dass CERTIFICATIONS: CrossFit Level 1 CrossFit Level 2 CrossFit Kids Weightlifting Football

Nicola Spencer Nutrition Coach Nicola found CrossFit in 2012 and has since been active in the world of functional fitness. A few years ago, she found herself in a slump - both in and out of the gym. It was during this difficult period that she decided to take a big step and reach out for help. Through her own nutrition coaching, she gained the knowledge and confidence to use nutrition to enhance her life. Seeing the empowerment that nutrition gave her, she wanted to help others experience the same. Through habit and mindset changes, she loves helping individuals realize their potential and achieve things they never thought possible. She considers herself to be a “Meal Prep Queen” with a major sweet tooth! Her Pumpkin Protein cookies are her claim to fame. CERTIFICATIONS: Precision Nutrition I

Travis Steinke Owner/Coach Travis has been training athletically for nearly a decade, and concentrates his energy in athletic development. He’s passionate about helping our athletes prepare for their next level of competition. “The best part of coaching is watching our athletes out work their goals, and seeing all the hard work they put in pay off when they make teams, receive awards, receive scholarships and win championships,” he says. Travis played many sports in high school, but narrowed his focus to baseball in Grade 12 when he joined The Prospects Academy and began training at Athletes Nation. “From there, I went on to be an all-conference player both years at PBA, winning championships both years,” he says. He played five years for the Lethbridge Bulls, winning a championship in 2015, as well as three years at The University of Arkansas at Monticello. He was an all-conference selection once, all-tournament team selection twice, and an all-regional tournament selection once. “I love sports and competition,” he says. “Helping athletes work towards a rewarding athletic career has always been my goal. When the opportunity to do so came around with the awesome FUEL Lifestyle and Performance group, it was a no brainer. It has been the best fit I could ask for.” CERTIFICATIONS: NSCA-CSCS

Paige Allert Nutrition Coach Paige has 7 years of dance training and she started CrossFit in 2017. Soon after starting CrossFit she transitioned to focus specifically on Olympic Weightlifting. She specializes in the psychology of nutrition/eating and how it affects our well-being. She is passionate about guiding people to make meaningful changes in their lives so they can break through their self-limiting beliefs, and in turn, feel less "stuck." Struggling with addiction and disordered eating in the past, Paige knew from an early age she wanted to help people with their nutrition. After years of trial and error with her own nutrition, she hired a nutrition coach. The accountability and support gave her what she needed to make lasting change. This proved to Paige how powerful and influential a coach can be, which ultimately got her to where she is today. She enjoys being a guide for others to help them move toward personal success.
